The breath is LIFE, and connecting to our breath creates a bridge from our outer part of us to our inner part of us, our “inner being”. Breath is in the moment, when we watch the breath we come into the present moment. Meditation is not just a technique it is a state of being present in the moment. What we think of as mediation, is just a means to get us to the present moment.
