Try this practice, lying on your back, begin focusing on first relaxing your muscles in your body, starting from head to toe. Then watching the breath go into each area, relaxing tensions in the body. When the body is relaxed, focus on your lower belly area below the navel. Continue watching the breath go in and out. This should help to quiet your thoughts. The more you move your focus away from your head and your thoughts, to simply watching the breath in your belly, you will find yourself coming into the present moment and relaxing.
